President Abbas lauds Morocco's 'constant position' regarding Palestinian issue
President of the National Palestinian Authority (NPA) Mahmoud Abbas Abou Mazen lauded, on Friday in Ramallah, Morocco's "constant position" regarding the Palestinian issue.

Speaking at a reception organized by Morocco's Liaison Office to the NPA on the 11th anniversary of HM King Mohammed VI's accession to the throne, President Abbas recalled the "bold historic stances" that the Kingdom has taken to support the Palestinian cause in different international organizations.
The Palestinian President also commended the great efforts of the Al Quds Committee, created by late King Hassan II, underlining the eminent interest that HM King Mohammed VI gives to Al Quds and the Palestinian issue, said a communiqué by Morocco's Liaison Office to the NPA.
For his part, head of the Kingdom’s Liaison Office to the NPA Mohamed Hamzaoui said that HM king Mohammed VI stressed, in his speech to the Nation on the Throne Day, the need to undertake joint efforts and initiatives to counter Israel's expansionist plans in the Holy city.
Hamzaoui added that the Sovereign also voiced determination to continue to stand up for the preservation of the spiritual, civilizational and legal character of this city, as the capital of an independent Palestinian state.
