Spain's ambassador to Morocco Alberto José Navarro Gonzalez Spain's ambassador to Morocco Alberto José Navarro Gonzalez said, on Thursday in Tan Tan, that the Moroccan-Spanish relations have always been "very good and even excellent", calling for promoting bilateral cooperation.

Navarro Gonzalez told MAP, on the sidelines of the 7th Tan Tan cultural and tourist Moussem, that the two countries "should continue to cooperate," because the Moroccan and Spanish peoples "are very close".

The Spanish diplomat underlined that Morocco and Spain should promote cooperation in all fields and through all possible means, noting that the economic and cultural development that Morocco achieved in the recent years was reflected on an "economic boom" and "economic growth".

The flow of Spanish tourists visiting Morocco can increase, he underscored, recalling that Spain is the second tourist exporter to Morocco behind France.

In the same vein, he underscored that the number of Spaniards visiting Morocco has multiplied four times in the last ten years.

On the cultural and touristic Moussem of Tan Tan, the ambassador said that this event is "a model of dialogue", which allows for the preservation of an immaterial world heritage, and an opportunity to meet different Sahrawi tribes.
