  The head of government talks with Deputy U.S. Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs
The head of government, Abdelilah Benkirane, met on Tuesday in Rabat Deputy U.S. Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Jeffrey Feltman.
 

At the meeting, Mr Benkirane has focused on the strategic relations of friendship strong uniting Morocco and the United States, expressing the government's willingness to further strengthen these relations to serve common interests the two countries.

 It has, moreover, raised the issue of territorial integrity of the Kingdom, stressing that the consecration of democracy in Morocco is likely to strengthen support of the international community to Morocco's position on this issue.

 M. Benkirane, also expressed the wish to see the United States provide support to the proper position of the Palestinian people and their right to an independent state.

 For its part, the U.S. official has expressed willingness to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, praising at the same time the head of government for the successful election and emphasizing the importance of cooperation between Morocco and the United States, particularly as Morocco is a non-permanent security Council of the UN.
