The opening ceremony of this event, which is being held under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, was chaired by Prime Minister Abbas El Fassi.

    France is this year's guest of honour of the exhibition, which is organised by the ministry of housing, town planning and territorial development.

    The biennial event is an occasion to share experience in areas relating to building, housing and urban development.

   It is due to discuss two major themes: "social housing" and "new cities".
