In this respect, Zahir Tanin Afghanistan’s Ambassador to the UN, the head of the Committee’s delegation to Rabat’s meeting, expressed the committee’s gratitude to HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of Al-Quds committee, for His Majesty’s “tireless efforts to safeguard the religious and cultural character of Al-Quds Acharif.”
The Committee’s President, Senegal’s Ambassador to the UN, Paul Badji commended Morocco’s initiative to host such a meeting which reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to “meet the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people for an independent state with Al-Quds Acharif as its capital.”
For his part, Morocco’s Ambassador to the UN Mohammed Loulichki commended the committee’s remarkable work, stressing Morocco’s full commitment to achieve a just and lasting solution to the question of Palestine.
Rabat’s meeting was an opportunity to strengthen the support and commitment of African countries, for achieving a comprehensive, just and lasting solution to the question of Palestine in accordance with UN relevant resolutions.
