These acts aim “to undermine relaitons with Spain and offend our natinal sentiment”, the USFP’s political bureau said in a statement.
Such acts reflect the hopelessness prevailing among the polisario and their advocates after the consecutive failures they endured, notably following the mass return of Sahrawis to their homeland, Morocco, escaping the Tindouf camps ( south-western Algeria).
The USFP commended the tenacity and wisedom showed by the authorities in the city of Laayoune and the Moroccan government in foiling this provocative attempt and defending the Spanish nationals against the rage of the Moroccan citizens who were offended by these acts.
The USFP also stressed the importance of holding to the path of wisdom and cooperation with the Spanish government which makes sure to maintain good cooperation relations with Morocco.
