The demonstrators strongly denounced these behaviors which are "disrespectful of human dignity and run counter to human rights principles."
In Rabat, dozens of representatives of Moroccan human rights organizations denounced, in a sit-in before the Spanish embassy, the "inhuman, racist" practices of the Spanish authorities against sub-Saharan immigrants.
The Spanish civil guard abandoned, on Friday, eight sub-Saharan immigrants off the Moroccan coast, in a critical condition.
The demonstrators called on the Spanish government to review its approach to immigration.
Commenting on these acts, Ahmed Herzenni, chairman of Morocco’s Consultative Council on Human Rights (CCDH), said they flout international conventions and treaties.
He insisted, in a statement to the national radio, that if these acts happen again, there will be need to solicit international bodies to compel Spain to abide by these conventions and treaties.
