Lower House Speaker Abdelouahed Radi handed, here Thursday, a written message sent from HM King Mohammed VI to Cameroon's President Paul Biya.

In a statement to MAP following the audience, Radi said he extended HM the King's congratulations to Biya on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the independence of his country.

The Cameroonian President paid tribute to the role played by Morocco under the leadership of HM the King on the African and international scenes, said Radi, who leads a Moroccan delegation to the festivities of Cameroon's independence anniversary.

Biya expressed satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relations and voiced commitment to further promote cooperation relations to the level of the distinguished political relations between the two countries, Radi added.

The Moroccan delegation took part in an international conference held on the sidelines of the festivities on development in Africa in the last 50 years and the future prospects, Radi said, noting that the event was an opportunity to highlight Morocco’s experience in the field of modernization, sustainable development and to shed light on the large-scale projects launched by the Kingdom in the political economic and social fields.
