  Morocco, Macedonia Sign Co-operation Agreements

- Morocco and Macedonia signed, on Tuesday in Rabat, two co-operation agreements on double taxation and investment.

The first agreement aims at avoiding double taxation and preventing tax evasion in the area of income tax.
The second concerns mutual encouragement and protection of investments between the two countries.
They were signed at the end of talks between Moroccan prime minister, Abbas El Fassi, and his Macedonian counterpart Nikola Gruevski on means to promote bilateral cooperation.
El Fassi told the press following the meeting these agreements are a prelude to further co-operation agreements in various fields.
He added that the two countries share many things, including institutional, economic and social reforms initiated since many years now, noting that he briefed Gruevski on the latest developments in the Kingdom’s territorial integrity and the autonomy initiative proposed by Rabat for the Sahara.
Gruevski said the talks examined several issues, describing bilateral relations as “good.”
He indicated that he is scheduled to hold meetings with Moroccan businessmen on Wednesday to showcase investments opportunities his country has to offer and encourage them to invest in Macedonia
