Speaking at a conference organized by Abdelkmalek Essadi University in Tetouane in collaboration with Bayt Mal Al-Quds al-Sharif Agency on Al-Quds issue, the Imam of the Al-Aqsa commended HM the King's efforts to preserve the Islamic-Christian character of the Al-Quds against all attempts of Judaization.
He added that Moroccans have historically been among the first to defend the civilizational character of Al-Quds, recalling the assistance provided by Morocco to the Palestinians through operating an air-bridge to provide medical and food aid to the Palestinian people.
Jumaa Salama, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Islamic council in Al-Quds, highlighted the threats against the Palestinian population in the holy city, notably the collective expulsions of the Palestinians following the demolition of houses and expropriation of lands.
On this occasion, the Palestinian official underlined the crucial role played by Bayt Mal Al-Quds al-Sharif Agency in rebuilding several demolished houses and the hospital of the holy city, in addition to HM the King's $5 million personal donation, which was allocated to reconstruct Gaza's Agronomy Faculty.
