Prayer Times

God ordered the Muslims to perform five mandatory prayers every day . These are  spread throughout the day and part of the night.

Prayer is the second pillar of Islam. It  was prescribed at the Ascension of the Prophet (PBUH) to heaven (al Mi'raj). It is of vital importance in Islam.

The latest recommendations of the prophet ( be peace upon him) to the believers  were to take good care of women and prayer. The latter is the pillar of Islam that is most frequently mentioned in the Coran
The word “salat” (Prayer in Arabic) means invocations . Thus, we read in surat “attawba”(repentance) verset 102:” Take zakat from their wealth  to purify and cleanse them and pray for them. Your prayers bring relief to them”.
The prayer is defined as a series of acts starting with Takbir  (pronouncing the phrase "Allahu Akbar" (Allah is the Greatest) ,  followed by genuflections and prosternations and ending with  the “Taslim” ( pronouncing the phrase be peace upon you ).
