Literature

Two main features characterize the contemporary Moroccan literature. First, it is a bilingual literature since it is expressed both in Arabic and French. Second, although it is young- hardly 70 years of existence – it went through the three essential stages inherent to any literary evolution, namely the period of birth and initiation, that of institution and finally that of modernization.
