7th Islamic Conference of Environment Ministers in Rabat on Oct. 25-26
The 7th Islamic Conference of Environment ministers (ICEM) will be held in Rabat on October 25-26 under the theme “Towards an effective Islamic cooperation to achieve sustainable development goals”.
Organized under the high patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, the event will bring together Islamic Environment ministers as well as representatives of regional and international organizations, ISESCO said in a press release.
The conference is held by ISESCO in cooperation with Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection, the source added.
On this occasion, participants will examine a report on ISESCO’s efforts in the 22nd Conference of the Parties on Climate Change and preparation for the 23rd Session of the Conference as well as a report on the creation of the Joint Committee on the Executive Work Plan for Natural Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in the Member States.
During the event, members of the Islamic Executive Bureau for the Environment will be elected.
