Algeria Expels Syrians Towards Morocco: Algerian Ambassador In Rabat Summoned To Foreign Affairs Ministry

Algeria's ambassador in Rabat was summoned, Tuesday, to the ministry of foreign affairs and cooperation to express Morocco's strong disapproval of the deportation by the Algerian authorities towards to the Moroccan territory of over 70 Syrian nationals, said a statement by the ministry.

Minister delegate for foreign affairs Mbarka Bouaida summoned, on Tuesday at the ministry's headquarters, Algeria's ambassador in Rabat to express Morocco's strong disapproval of the deportation by the Algerian authorities towards the Moroccan territory, on January 26 to 28, of over 70 Syrian nationals, it said.

While urging Algeria to fully shoulder its responsibilities, Morocco flatly condemns this inhuman act all the more so because it involves women and children in an extremely vulnerable situation, said the source, underlining that the Moroccan authorities have, immediately, provided assistance and the necessary health care for the Syrian nationals in the border zone with Algeria.
