Australian Official Expresses his Country's Full Support for Morocco's Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity
President of the Arab-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Roland Jabbour expressed, on Thursday in Rabat, his country's full support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco.
"We strongly support the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco and its territorial integrity, based on the belief that prosperity is achieved through unity," Jabbour told MAP after a meeting with secretary of State to the minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mounia Boucetta.
In addition, the Australian official said he is "impressed" by the progress and accelerated development in all regions of the Kingdom, expressing his country's willingness to explore ways to strengthen relations with Morocco.
In this regard, Jabbour highlighted the Kingdom's investment opportunities, which "will certainly promote our bilateral ties," he said.
Morocco is a gateway to Africa and Europe, he pointed out, adding that it is a "springboard that will allow us direct access to both continents through many free trade agreements with the European Union and the rest of Africa".
Despite the long distance between the two countries, some 40,000 Australians visit Morocco every year, he noted.
Roland Jabbour is on a working visit to Morocco leading a large delegation from the Arab-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
