Belgian paper "L'Echo" highlighted Saturday the development of the start-ups sector in Morocco which has adopted new measures to promote the status of "auto-entrepreneur" (self-employment) aimed at reaching 100,000 subscribers in 2017.

Entitled "Morocco 4.0", the daily underlined the enthusiasm of project holders for this promising sector, giving the example of thousands of women and men who chose start-ups and entrepreneurship in order to create jobs and a future in a sector full of opportunities.

The newspaper also stressed the importance of supporting such enthusiasm to contribute to the development of Morocco, by encouraging foreign investors to bring the Moroccan start-ups sector to an international level.

It cited two initiatives in support of the said sector: the"Startup Morocco", which is a network of Moroccan start-ups, and "Min Ajlîki", a rapidly-growing Belgian-Moroccan development program for women.
