Chinese Official Underlines His Country's Will to Foster Legal Cooperation with Morocco

President of Chinese Supreme People's Court Zhou Qiang underlined, Friday in Rabat, his country's will to foster legal cooperation with Morocco, mainly in its commercial aspect.

In a meeting with Speaker of the House of Advisors Hakim Benchamach, in the presence of China's ambassador in Rabat, Qiang said his visit to the Kingdom aims to revive the memorandum of understanding on trade and legal cooperation between the Moroccan Court of Cassation and the Supreme People's Court of China.

According to a statement from the House of Advisors, Qiang, accompanied by a legal delegation, highlighted the strong strategic relations between the two friendly countries, stressing the importance of the historic visit by HM King Mohammed VI to China which has opened large prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The Chinese official also praised the social stability and economic growth taking place in Morocco, as well as the importance of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, recalling the visit of the speaker of the House of Advisors to China in 2017, along with a parliamentary delegation.

For his part, Benchamach lauded the dynamic of the Chinese-Moroccan relations, which were further strengthened by the exemplary and comprehensive strategic partnership launched in 2016 by HM King Mohammed VI and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, underlining the distinguished political and historical relations between the two countries, which are based on the values ​​of solidarity and mutual respect.
