CORCAS Head Holds Talks with Ecuadorian Member of Andean Parliament
Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), Khalihenna Ould Errachid, held talks Thursday in Rabat with Ecuadorian member of the Andean Parliament Patricia Teran Basso.
Talks focused on the latest developments of the Sahara issue at the United Nations and the Security Council as well as on the evolution of this issue in the light of efforts made by the UN Secretary General and his personal envoy in the region in order to relaunch the negotiations process, CORCAS said in a statement.
In this regard, Ould Errachid and the Ecuadorian MP discussed Morocco's autonomy plan, which represents the only possible solution of the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, according to the same source.
Created on October 25, 1979 in La Paz (Bolivia), the Andean Parliament brings together MPs from Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile.
