European Parliament Rejects Draft Bill Hostile to Morocco

Some Euro-deputies faced a complete failure when the European parliament rejected, Wednesday in Brussels, a draft bill which is hostile to Morocco.

The so-called "emergency" draft bill on the Rif region was quickly discarded by the European body as it lacks seriousness and objectivity.

The Moroccan diplomacy was present to stop these instigators who were acting at an important stage of the Morocco-EU partnership namely the renewal of the fisheries agreement and the adjustment of the agricultural agreement.

The said Euro-deputies were planing to submit the proposal to the next plenary session in Strasbourg in an attempt to instrumentalise the parliament to serve their hidden agenda.

The refusal of this resolution proposal shows Morocco's strong determination to forge ahead with its socio-economic development and uphold the rule of law and democracy.
