Gabonese President Receives Moroccan Delegation To NYFA 2014
Gabonese president Ali Bongo Ondimba received on Sunday the Moroccan delegation to the 3rd New York Forum Africa (NYFA 2014), led by industry, trade, investment and digital economy minister, Moulay Hafid Elalamy.
The Gabonese head of state asked the Moroccan delegation to convey to HM King Mohammed VI friendship and brotherly feelings, said El Alamy who added that the meeting reviewed bilateral economic cooperation following HM the King's visit last March to Gabon.
President Bongo noted that 80pc of the conventions signed during the royal visit are already operational, urging for clear communication relations between the Moroccan and Gabonese follow up commissions, the minister told the press.
Elalamy also expressed Morocco's gratefulness to President Bongo for his "readiness to support Moroccan economic operators".
The meeting took place in the presence of Gabonese head of government Daniel Ona Ondo, president of the Moroccan Solar Energy Agency (MASEN), Mustapha Bakkoury and Morocco's ambassador in Libreville, Ali Bojji.
The New York Forum Africa, held in the Gabonese capital from May 23 through 25, brought together over 1,500 participants who discussed means to unleash the Africa countries competitiveness by tapping on natural resources and developing the human capital.
