Govt. Chief, Prince Radu Highlight Excellence of Moroccan-Romanian Links
Head of government, Saad Eddine El Othmani, and HRH Prince Radu of Romania highlighted, Tuesday in Rabat, the excellence of friendship relations between Morocco and Romania, which go back more than half a century.
According to a statement by the head of government's office, HRH Prince Radu, who is currently on a working visit to Morocco, expressed Morocco’s particular importance for Romania, given the stability it enjoys, the momentum of its economy and the great potentialities of its human capital.
HRH Prince Radu also stressed the importance of dialogue between the two countries, since Romania is the representative of Eastern Europe in the European Union and Morocco is one of the EU's key partners in the southern Mediterranean.
For his part, El Othmani reviewed the prospects for bilateral cooperation and partnership, in view of the reforms launched by the Kingdom in several areas and the major development strategies implemented in the most important sectors, notably industry, renewable energy, agri-food and tourism, said the statement.
During their talks, the two parties also highlighted the prospects for bilateral cooperation, through the intensification of meetings between economic operators, the stimulation of investments and partnerships, as well as the multiplication of cooperation programs between Moroccan and Romanian universities, while further developing cultural cooperation, noted the same source.
