HRH Prince Charles Of Wales Takes Interest In Morocco's Development Efforts, Advisor

HRH Prince Charles of Wales, the heir apparent of Queen Elizabeth II of UK, takes a lot of interest in Morocco's development efforts under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, said on Monday Hank Dittmar, Special Advisor to HRH the Prince of Wales on Global Urbanization.

HRH the Prince is closely following Morocco's rapid development and appreciates efforts made by HM King Mohammed VI, Dittmar told MAP on the occasion of a working visit, on Monday in London, by a Moroccan delegation led by Housing minister Mohamed Nabil Benabdallah.

Morocco, like the United Kingdom, has an intact cultural and civilizational heritage allowing it to meet the challenges of urbanization, said the advisor, noting that this heritage also enables Morocco to develop new principles for an urban development that meets the requirements of sustainability.

He expressed the wish to see Morocco and the UK work together and contribute with their expertise to producing models of urbanization.

The advisor of Prince Charles cited the ambitious Moroccan policy to create new cities, offering a better quality of life for people, while meeting the economic, social and cultural requirements.
