International Conference on Independence of the Judiciary Opens in Marrakech

An international conference on the independence of the judiciary opened, on Monday in Marrakech, with the participation of ministers of Justice, presidents of higher Councils of the judiciary, human rights organizations, professional bodies as well as experts and academics from various countries.

The opening ceremony of this high-level conference, organized under the theme " The independence of the judiciary: guaranteeing the rights of litigants and upholding the principles of justice", was marked by a Royal message sent to the participants, which was read by HM the King's advisor Abdellatif Menouni.

Organized under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, this conference is part of the celebration of the installation of the Higher Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) in the Kingdom, and the independence of the Prosecutor's Office.

The conference, which runs until April 04, is an opportunity for participants to discuss different themes related to the evolution of the independence of the judiciary in a changing world, the governance of the judicial administration and strengthening of its efficiency, the development of the institutional capacities of the judicial system and the moralization of the judicial system.
