Jerada Province: Interior Ministry Bans Illegal Demonstrations

The Interior Ministry, in accordance with its legal powers, stressed its right to enforce the law in the city of Jerada, by banning illegal demonstrations on public roads and responding firmly to irresponsible acts and behaviors, with a view to preserving security and protecting the interests of citizens.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Interior Ministry says that despite efforts made by the State to address the problems raised in the province of Jerada, some parties persist in undermining these efforts by trying to exploit the legitimate demands expressed and inciting the population to protest without any respect for established laws, which disrupts normal life in the region.

In its efforts to address the problems raised in the province of Jerada, the government has showed a positive interaction with all social and economic demands expressed by all local stakeholders (population, elected officials, trade unions and civil society), in accordance with a participatory approach that led to the announcement of operational and concrete measures in several priority sectors, the main lines of which were announced by Head of Government during the visit he paid to the Oriental region on February 10, accompanied by a large ministerial delegation, the source said.

Given the importance of these measures, the political and trade union bodies, civil society actors in the province, in addition to the presidents of territorial collectivities have issued a statement in which they expressed their great satisfaction with the positive interaction of public authorities with the expectations and aspirations of the population, stressing that the approach adopted in this regard is likely to provide a strong impetus to the development of the province, the ministry pointed out.
