Kuwaiti Information Minister Lauds Distinguished Relations between Kuwait & Morocco

Kuwaiti Minister of Information Mohammed Al-Jabri said on Tuesday that the Kuwaiti-Moroccan relations are distinguished and historical in various fields, especially in the media field.

This came during a meeting with Director General of Morocco’s news agency MAP, Khalil Hachimi Idrissi, in the presence of Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and President of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) Sheikh Mubarak Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah.

Al-Jabri highlighted the strong relations between the two brotherly countries, their leaderships, governments and peoples.

He also expressed readiness of the ministry of Information to develop cooperation with MAP in various media fields and to consolidate this cooperation through exchanging visits and expertise and benefiting from the training fields available in the two agencies.

The minister recalled Morocco's principled stand in favor of the Kuwaiti right during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990, noting the role of the Moroccan government during that period in supporting the Kuwaiti legitimacy.

Chairman and Director General of Kuwait news agency (KUNA) and Director General of Morocco’s news agency (MAP) discussed on Monday in Kuwait City the means to strengthen cooperation between the two agencies.

On this occasion, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah expressed readiness to facilitate the accreditation of a MAP correspondent in Kuwait.
