The criminal court of the Salé Appeal Court on Wednesday morning gave verdicts ranging from two years to life sentence against the accused in the events related to the dismantling of the Gdim Izik camp.

The court has sentenced to life imprisonment Abhah Sidi Abdellah, Al Ismaili Ibrahim, Bani Mohamed, Mohamed Boutankiza Lbachir, Laâroussi Abdeljalil, Lakhfawni Abdallah, Lamjid Sidi Ahmed and Sbaï Ahmed.

Ennaama Asfari, Banga Shikh and Bouryal Mohamed were sentenced to 30 years in prison, while Dah Hassan, Boubit Mohamed Khouna, Faqir Mohamed, Haddi Mohamed Lamine and Zaoui Lahcen were sentenced to 25 years imprisonment.

Toubali Abdellah, Tahlil Mohamed and Khadda Lbachir were sentenced to 20 years in prison, while Dich Eddafi and El Bakkay Laarbi were sentenced to 6 and a half years in prison and 4 and a half years in prison respectively.

Almachdoufi Ettaki and Zayyou Sidi Abderrahman were sentenced to 2 years in prison.

The court also decided to drop the charges against some of the accused of "forming a criminal gang", to charge them for the rest of the crimes with adaptation of indictments and to prosecute them for "violence against public forces in the performance of their duties, which resulted in injuries".

The Court decided to transfer the seized funds to the State and to destroy the other seized objects.

The Court also decided that the plaintiff shall bear the associated costs.
