Lower House Speaker Represents HM the King at Inauguration Ceremony of Paraguay's President
Speaker of the House of Representatives (lower house), Habib El Malki, represented HM King Mohammed VI, Wednesday in Asunción, at the inauguration ceremony of Paraguay’s new president, Mario Abdo Benitez.
The ceremony took place at Palacio de Lopez in the presence of several head of States, notably Argentina’s Mauricio Macri, Brazilian Michel Temer, Uruguayan Tabaré Vázquez, Bolivian Evo Morales, Colombian Ivan Duque, as well as numerous delegations representing 94 countries.
On this occasion, El Malki told MAP that he had conveyed to Paraguay’s new president the congratulations of HM King Mohammed VI and his sincere wishes of full success in his high office, at a meeting, held on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony.
The Moroccan official added that the Paraguayan head of State expressed "his high esteem" for HM the king as well as his support for all the actions undertaken by the Sovereign at the national, African and international levels, noting that Mario Abdo Benitez had voiced hope to pay a visit to Morocco in the near future.
