Later in the day, El Malki was received by the new Haitian President, to whom he conveyed HM the King’s congratulations and wished success in his mission, the source added. The audience was also an opportunity for the Lower House’s speaker to highlight cooperative relations between Morocco and Haiti, particularly in the field of training through a program that enables Haitian students to pursue their studies in the Kingdom. El Malki also underlined Morocco’s expertise in agriculture and rural areas’ development, through the control of the use of fertilizers and the management of water resources, saying that Morocco wishes to enhance its cooperation with Haiti in these areas.

He also hailed solidary ties between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Haiti. Morocco, a founding member of the Pan-African organization, has returned to its natural place with the determination to continue to contribute to the development of the African continent, El Malki pointed out. In his turn, the new Haitian President instructed El Malki to convey to HM the King his congratulations for the return of the Kingdom to the African Union and hailed reforms introduced by the Sovereign that made Morocco a model for development and stability in the region. "For Haiti, Morocco is a brotherly and friendly country,” the Haitian president said. El Malki also had talks with several Haitian officials, including his Haitian counterpart Cholzer Chancy, and Haitian Foreign minister.
