HM King Mohammed VI's commitment in favor of Mali "has been constant," said, Friday in Rabat, Malian minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Tiébilé Dramé.

In a statement to the press at the end of his talks with minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, the Malian official expressed his deep gratitude to the Sovereign, the government and all the Moroccan authorities for the support they have always provided to Mali since the outbreak of the serious security and institutional crisis in his country.

In this regard, he recalled the visit of HM the King to Bamako in 2013 on the occasion of the inauguration of president Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, stressing that through this visit, the Sovereign expressed his support for Mali's return to the international scene. "This is a gesture that Mali cannot forget," he noted, highlighting HM the King's commitment to the development of economic cooperation with this African country.

Dramé also pointed out that Morocco and Mali are two old nations with "centuries-old relations", expressing his country's determination to strengthen cooperation and human ties with the Kingdom.

"We are working to ensure that the relationship between Mali and Morocco is brought up to the level that both heads of State aspire to," he said, stressing that Morocco is part of Mali's history and will be part of its future.
