Pursuant to the high royal instructions, minister delegate to the head of government in charge of national defense administration, Abdeltif Loudyi, received, Tuesday in Rabat, Spanish secretary of State for Defense, Angel Olivares Ramirez, who is on a two-day working visit to the Kingdom, leading a large delegation.

The meeting took place in the presence of the Spanish ambassador in Rabat and the Spanish military attaché, as well as representatives of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, according to a statement by the National Defense Administration.

During their talks, the two officials commended the excellent friendly relations and the dense and multifaceted cooperation between the two Kingdoms thanks to the impetus and excellent ties between HM King Mohammed VI and HM King Felipe VI, says the statement.

The two sides also highlighted the dynamism of bilateral defense cooperation and the satisfactory results achieved in the fight against terrorism and the management of the migration crisis, underlining their common willingness to further enhance and diversify this cooperation, adds the same source.

Loudyi and the Spanish secretary of State agreed on the existence of promising prospects for bilateral and regional cooperation in the defense industry. This cooperation could be developed to establish a mutually beneficial partnership, particularly in the fields of shipbuilding, aeronautics and mobility vehicle manufacturing, the statement notes.
