Morocco, Argentina Discuss Means to Promote Bilateral Relations

Head of government, Saad-Eddine El Othmani, held talks here on Wednesday with Argentinean Vice-President and Speaker of the Senate, Marta Gabriela Michetti.

Talks focused on the means to strengthen bilateral cooperation and and to create fruitful partnerships, said a statement by the head of government's department, adding that the two sides praised the friendly relations between Morocco and Argentina.

On this occasion, El Othmani highlighted the progress made by Morocco in several areas, its economic structural reforms and the dynamics of public and private investment, which have made the Kingdom an attractive destination for investments in major industrial sectors, the source added.

El Othmani underlined the partnership opportunities offered by Morocco's African policy and the experience accumulated by the Kingdom in the framework of South-South cooperation and tripartite cooperation, the statement said, adding that the two sides discussed prospects for cooperation between Morocco and Mercosur countries, as well as between African countries and those of Latin America.

On her turn, Michetti underscored the strategic importance of cooperation between the two countries, given the dynamics of Morocco’s economy, the strategic position of the kingdom and its leading role in the African continent, particularly following its reintegration into the African Union, which will enable it to be an investment platform and a gateway to Africa.

Michetti is on a working visit to Morocco at the head of a delegation composed of several senior officials with the aim of strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
