Morocco, China Commit to Reinforcing Cooperation in Infrastructure and Equipment Fields
Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water Abdelkader Amara met, Friday in Rabat, with Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Qian Keming on ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of infrastructure and equipment.
On this occasion, Amara welcomed the relations between Morocco and China that grew stronger thanks to the strategic partnership which was signed in May 2016 and opened a new era for cooperation between the two countries.
This partnership guarantees a better future for bilateral relations, on the back of the signing of 15 agreements in various fields, notably the economic, financial and industrial ones, he said.
He also highlighted the agreements signed in the fields of infrastructure, railways and logistics, thus multiplying the opportunities for cooperation and partnership between the economic stakeholders of the two countries, and underscoring the Chinese expertise.
Keming expressed his wish to strengthen cooperation between Moroccan and Chinese companies, by financing infrastructure projects.
He also reviewed the different projects set up in Morocco, including the Kenitra port and the high-speed train between Marrakech and Agadir.
