Morocco Elected Vice-President of IOM Council in Geneva

Morocco was elected, on Monday in Geneva, second vice-president of the Council of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), at the opening of IOM's 107th Council.

This election, which illustrates the credibility of Morocco at the international level, is a recognition of its active role in the current debates on migration issues that are now at the forefront of the global agenda.

Australia was elected as chair of IOM’s Council, while Chile and Denmark were chosen as first vice-president and Rapporteur, respectively.
