Justice minister meets with Nicolas Sarkozy

Justice minister Mustapha Ramid met, on Monday in Rabat, with former French president and chairman of the Republican Party Nicolas Sarkozy.

In a statement to the press after the meeting, Ramid said that the talks touched on the reform of the Moroccan judiciary system and the Moroccan democratic progress.

 "We also discussed the situation in the Arab-Islamic world, and the situation of Muslims in France including their rights and practices," he added.

 

 Sarkozy met earlier with the foreign minister, the justice minister and the head of government. The former French president is on a visit to Morocco with an important delegation composed of MPs as Christian Cambon, Luc Chatel, Rachida Dati, Pierre Lellouche and Olivier Marleix.

Head of Govt. meets with former French president

Head of government Abdelilah Benkirane met, on Monday in Rabat, with former French president and chairman of the Republican Party Nicolas Sarkozy who is on a visit to Morocco with a delegation of MPs from his party.

A statement from the head of government's office said that the two parties reaffirmed the importance of friendship and partnership relations between the two countries, underlining the quality of bilateral cooperation in the different areas.

 Sarkozy lauded the outstanding political process of Morocco and the political and economic reforms undertaken by the government under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, it said.

 

 On this occasion, Benkirane surveyed Morocco's democratic process and its promising prospects in relations with the political, economic and social fields.

Sarkozy applauds work done by HM the King to reconcile Morocco's modernity and identity

Former French president and chairman of the Republican Party Nicolas Sarkozy lauded, on Monday in Rabat, the work done by HM King Mohammed VI to reconcile Morocco's modernity and identity.

 "The goal of my visit is to foster the ties of friendship between France and Morocco and commend the work done by HM King Mohammed VI to reconcile Morocco's modernity and identity," Sarkozy told the press after a meeting with interior minister Mohamed Hassad.

 On bilateral cooperation, Sarkozy underlined the importance to reinforce friendship relations between the two countries, deeming that France needs Morocco which constitutes a zone of stability in a world in need of stability.

HM King Mohammed VI, Man of Great Vision, Great Ambitions For His Country, Says Sarkozy

 HM King Mohammed VI is a man who has a great vision and great ambitions for his country, Chairman of The Republicans party, Nicolas Sarkozy, said Monday in Rabat.

 

   "His Majesty King Mohammed VI is a man who has a great vision and great ambitions for his country. A great vision that goes beyond Morocco, the Maghreb and Africa", Sarkozy told the press following the audience granted to him by the Sovereign.

 

   "It's always an inspiration for me to talk with the Sovereign", he said, noting that "it is extremely interesting because His Majesty the King has a very clear idea on the major issues of the world".

 

   Sarkozy stressed the importance for the two shores of the Mediterranean to learn to better know each other, discuss, promote joint projects and better understand themselves, arguing that "Morocco is from this point view an inspiration because with all these events that marked the region, the Kingdom has remained an impressive hub of stability".

   Nicolas Sarkozy is paying a visit to Morocco at the head of a large delegation including MPs, notably Christian Cambon, Luc Chatel, Rachida Dati, Pierre Lellouche and Olivier Marleix.

Morocco enjoys stability in an unstable region- Sarkozy

Morocco enjoys stability despite the regional context of unrest in the region, said former French President and President of the Republicans party Nicolas Sarkozy on Sunday in Casablanca.

Speaking to members of his party in Morocco, Sarkozy highlighted the reforms spurred by HM the King that further safeguard Morocco’s stability.

The former French president praised the "bold" reforms implemented in the Kingdom, notably the adoption of a new constitution in 2011.

He voiced satisfaction at the Moroccan-French relations which are enriched by the presence in France of a large Moroccan diaspora.

Sarkozy is on a visit to Morocco leading a delegation of his party made notably of MPs, Christian Cambon, Luc Chatel, Rachida Dati, Pierre Lellouche and Olivier Marleix.
