Morocco-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee Calls for Consolidating Bilateral Partnership Achievements
The Morocco-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee, which met on Tuesday and Wednesday in Brussels, called for the consolidation of the achievements of bilateral partnership.
Chaired by MP Abderrahim Atmoun, the parliamentary committee called for strengthening this partnership to ensure prosperity, security and peace in the framework of good neighbourliness.
At the various meetings of the Joint Committee, Atmoun stressed the importance of adopting a comprehensive approach that takes into account all aspects of the partnership between Morocco and the European Union.
In this regard, he underlined the need for the two parties to combine efforts through a proactive approach to address the dangers that threaten the security of the Euro-Mediterranean region.
In a statement to MAP, Atmoun recalled the efforts made by the Joint Committee, since its inception in 2010, "to thwart, at the European Parliament, attempts to undermine the territorial integrity of the Kingdom and the exceptional partnership between Morocco and the EU.”
The Moroccan delegation held several meetings with MEPs representing various political groups.
