Morocco, Luxembourg Agree to Strengthen Cooperation Between Both Legislative Institutions

Speaker of the House of Representatives (lower house), Habib El Malki and president of Luxembourg's Parliament, Mars Di Bartolomeo, have agreed to consolidate the cooperation between the two legislative institutions.

During talks held, on Friday in Luxembourg, on the sidelines of the meeting of the bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie (APF), which opened the 43rd session of the organization, El Malki and Di Bartolomeo have agreed to organize a working and friendship visit to Rabat of a Luxembourg parliamentary delegation in the coming months, said a statement by the lower house.

During the APF meeting, the bureau tackled several issues, notably the implementation of parliamentary cooperation programs, the reform of the APF statutes, the revision of its mechanisms for democratic vigilance, as well as its partnership agreements, the statement added.

The speaker of the lower house also met with several of his Francophone counterparts on the sidelines of this session.
