Morocco, Palestine Discuss Media Cooperation
Minister of Culture Mohamed Laaraj met, on Tuesday in Rabat, with spokesperson of the Palestinian government Youssef Al Mahmoud on the Moroccan-Palestinian cooperation.
These talks were an opportunity to discuss the broad lines for the implementation of the cooperation agreement between Morocco and Palestine, aimed at developing partnership in the field of information and communication, Laaraj told MAP after this meeting.
The agreement will help have broader prospects of cooperation and join the momentum of major and accelerated transformations marking the media sector internationally, he said.
The two sides agreed to consolidate cooperation between the media institutions of the two countries and to set up a working and coordination mechanism, Laaraj said, noting that the training will be part of this cooperation, by hosting Palestinian students to continue their studies at the Higher Institute of Information and Communication (ISIC) and the Higher Institute of Audiovisual and Cinema Professions (ISMAC).
For his part, Al Mahmoud stressed that his visit to Morocco is aimed at finding ways to implement the agreement concluded with the Moroccan government, which seeks to lay the foundations for a solid cooperation in the different fields related to information and communication, television, radio, news agency and cinema11 June 2019
