Morocco, Russia Ink Judicial Cooperation Agreement
A partnership and cooperation agreement between the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation and the Moroccan Court of Cassation was signed Monday in Moscow.
The agreement, signed by the first president of the Court of Cassation, deputy chairman of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, Mustafa Fares, and the president of the Russian Supreme Court, Mikhailovich Lebedev, is meant to share experiences, visits, expertise and documents in legal and judicial fields.
On this occasion, the President of the Russian Supreme Court expressed his pride in signing this agreement, the first of its kind, which, he said, will provide a strong impetus to legal cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Fares hailed the depth of relations between the two countries and highlighted reforms undertaken in Morocco under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, noting that these reforms made the Kingdom a model in the region.
During their talks, the two sides discussed the means to further develop cooperation between the two institutions.
