Morocco "strongly" condemns attack against French embassy in Tripoli

Morocco strongly condemned on Wednesday the attack against the French embassy in Tripoli and expressed solidarity with the French government and people and sympathy with the victims.

Morocco "has learned with sadness and sorrow the news of the attack that targeted Tuesday morning the French Republic embassy in Tripoli," says a release of the Moroccan ministry of foreign affairs and cooperation.

 

Denouncing "strongly this horrendous criminal act", Morocco expresses its solidarity with the French Republic, people and government as well as its sympathy with the victims of the attack", the release adds. 

 

Morocco also reiterated its "rejection and condemnation of terrorism in all its forms" and expressed "support to the ongoing political transition process in Libya".

 

A car bomb destroyed about half of the French Embassy in Libya early Tuesday, injuring two French guards.
