Morocco Takes part in 17th Extraordinary Session of AU Executive Council in Addis Ababa

Morocco is taking part in the 17th extraordinary session of the executive council of the African Union (AU), which opened Monday in Addis Ababa.

The Kingdom is represented in this meeting, which brings together foreign ministers and officials of the member countries of the Pan-African organization, by a strong delegation led by minister delegate to the minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of Moroccans living abroad and Migration Affairs, Abdelkrim Benatiq.

The agenda of this session, to be held at AU headquarters, will examine the report of the meeting of AU permanent representatives Committee (PRC) (Oct. 14, 2017) in view of its adoption, review the draft working documents of the 5th African Union-European Union Summit, to be hosted by Côte d'Ivoire next November, namely the draft Declaration and the draft joint priority projects 2018-2023.

Members of the executive council will also discuss the draft of the African common position on the Post 2020 Cotonou Agreement on the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries.
