Morocco’s Ambassador to Botswana Hands Credentials to President Mokgweetsi Masisi
Botswana President, Mokgweetsi Masisi, received Thursday in Gaborone Youssef Amrani, who handed him his credentials as Morocco's extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Botswana.
During the audience, the Moroccan diplomat conveyed the greetings of HM King Mohammed VI to the President of Botswana, as well as the wishes of the Moroccan government and people for further progress and prosperity to the people of Botswana.
He also underlined his willingness to contribute, through a strengthened political dialogue, to the development of ties and economic cooperation between Morocco and Botswana.
The two countries have great potential for cooperation in several areas of common interest both bilaterally and within the framework of the African Union, he pointed out.
For his part, President Masisi expressed his high regard for His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the appreciation of the Government and People of Botswana for the Kingdom's role in promoting South-South cooperation.
He also welcomed the excellent relations between the two countries, underlining his willingness to continue working to strengthen bilateral relations.
