Morocco's Dam Storage Capacity Stands at 40.1% by Feb. 13

Dam's storage capacity in Morocco stood at 40.1% as of February 13, 2018, which is a total storage of 6.1 billion cubic meters (m3), according to the State Secretary for Water.

This level is lower than the one reported during the same period in 2017, when stored volumes of water in dams stood at about 8.3 billion cubic meters, which is a storage capacity of 54.4%, the source added.

The dams of Garde Sebou, Nakhla, Bouhouda and Sidi Said Maachou recorded a fill rate of 100% by Feb. 13, the source added.

Other dams recorded a decrease in water supplies compared to the same period in last year, such as Mokhtar Soussi (from 100% to 82.1%), Ahl Souss (from 100% to 74%) and Imi El Kheng (from 100% to 54%).
