Public Prosecutor's Office Elected Member of Africa Prosecutors Association Executive Board

The Office of the public prosecutor was elected a member of the executive board of the Africa Prosecutors Association (APA), on the sidelines of the 13th Conference of the Association, held from 30 October to 1 November in Mauritius.

Morocco was thus elected vice-president of the executive board and representative of North African countries within the APA, while the Egyptian prosecutor's office was elected head of this board, said Sunday a statement by the public prosecutor's office.

The APA executive board also includes Senegal, South Africa, Mauritius, Tanzania and other countries.

Morocco's participation in this congress, which takes place at the invitation of the APA, is part of the strengthening of the Moroccan presence on the African scene and cooperation with the countries of the continent.

Created in 2003, the Africa Prosecutors Association, which consists of 30 prosecution authorities in Africa, aims to combat cross-border crime and strengthen cooperation between prosecutors in Africa, through the exchange and dissemination of information, experience and expertise and the promotion of the use of information technology.
