Sahara Issue: Jordanian FM Reiterates his Country's Steadfast Position in Support of Morocco’s Territorial Integrity
Jordanian Foreign Affairs Minister, Ayman Safadi, reaffirmed on Thursday in Rabat his country's historic and steadfast position in support of Morocco’s territorial integrity.
In a statement to the press after his talks with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, the Jordanian minister underlined the need to reach a political solution to the Moroccan Sahara issue on the basis of the autonomy initiative presented by Morocco and the Security Council resolutions.
Safadi mentioned the permanent coordination between Morocco and Jordan on all regional issues, noting that the two countries share the same positions regarding peace and stability in order to enable the Arab region to overcome the crises and conflicts it faces.
During his working visit to Morocco, the Jordanian Minister also held talks with the Head of Government, Saad Eddine El Othmani.
