"I am very impressed by the ongoing change in Morocco and the democratic reforms undertaken since the enthronement of HM King Mohammed VI", Bracke told MAP after a meeting with a visiting Moroccan parliamentary delegation.

The positive evolution of Morocco reinforces the climate of stability and cohesion sought by the Moroccan society, he said, adding that, in the context of the Arab Spring, the Moroccan people and political class were aware that stability is of paramount importance.

Bracke stressed that HM King Mohammed VI played in important role in this regard and launched a reform process aimed at changing and promoting the economic and social development of Morocco. He also noted that these multiple reforms clearly show that Morocco is on the right track.

Bracke said that he held interesting discussions with the Moroccan parliamentary delegation on bilateral relations, noting that Morocco and Belgium are linked with strong ties given the important Moroccan community living in Belgium.
