Togo Thankful To HM The King For Peace Initiatives In Africa

Togo expressed thanks to HM King Mohammed VI for his initiatives for peace and stability in Africa.

"We thank HM King Mohammed VI for his initiatives meant to help African nations consolidate peace and stability in the continent", Togo's foreign minister Dussuy Robert told MAP following a meeting with Morocco's minister-delegate for foreign affairs and cooperation, Mbarka Bouaïda.

The Togolese official also expressed his country's total support to Morocco and to Moroccan efforts to reach a settlement to the Sahara issue, in accordance with the UN Security council resolutions, underscoring that his country maintains "very good relations with Morocco".

To a question of the African Union's executive council, which met on January 27-28 in the Ethiopian capital, Togo's foreign minister stressed that "all Morocco's friend and sister countries, such as Senegal and Togo" are supporting Morocco's territorial integrity.
