Morocco Takes Part in International Conference on Libya in Italy
An international conference on Libya opened on Tuesday in Palermo, Italy, with the participation of a large Moroccan delegation.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, who represents HM King Mohammed VI at this conference, leads the Moroccan delegation at this two-day event.
The conference, which is initiated by the Italian government, is attended by high-level delegations from several countries, as well as representatives from the African Union Commission, the Arab League, the European Union, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
The meeting is geared to give a fresh impetus to the process of political settlement in Libya under the auspices of the United Nations.
