Under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, a visionary, modern and ambitious king, Morocco has become, in two decades, an example of African emergence, writes magazine "l’Essentiel des Relations Internationales" in a special issue on 20 years of the Sovereign's reign.

"In two decades of reign, HM King Mohammed VI has irreversibly engaged his country on the path of progress, development and democracy, a safe and audacious decision especially as it is part of the continuity of the reforms initiated by His father late King Hassan II, and is based on a insightful vision and a voluntary-based approach," said the magazine in its editorial underscoring HM the King's accomplishments in all fields.

In an interview with L'Essentiel, Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita emphasized that Africa is indeed at the heart of the Kingdom's diplomatic orientations.

Under the title: "A dynamic diplomacy at the service of the Royal Vision", Bourita recalled how Morocco is committed to the development of the sub-Saharan part of the continent, while maintaining its relations beyond the Mediterranean.

"For Morocco, the relationship with Africa is a relationship with its home continent, its natural extension and its strategic depth. We do not come from outside, but interact in our own area," said Bourita, quoting in this regard an extract from the Sovereign's speech on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People in which HM the King recalled that Africa is not an objective but rather a calling in the service of the African citizen.
