HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan Chairs in Casablanca Final of 2018 African Nations Championship
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired, on Sunday at the Casablanca Mohammed V sports complex, the final of the 5th African Nations Championship (CHAN-2018) won by the Moroccan football team which defeated its Nigerian counterpart (4-0).
At his arrival at the complex, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan reviewed a detachment of royal guard that paid the honours, and was greeted by interior minister Abdelouafi Laftit, youth and sports minister Rachid Talbi Alami and Nigerian sports and youth minister Solomon Dalung.
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was also greeted mainly by Ahmad Ahmad, President of the African Football Confederation (CAF), Kwesi Nyantakyi, First Vice President of CAF, Omari Selemani, Second Vice President of CAF, as well as President and members of the Royal Moroccan Federation of football.
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan headed to the VIP stand to watch the game which kicked off by the national anthems of the two countries.
At the end of the match, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan headed to the field of the Mohammed V sports complex to hand the trophy of fair play to the Moroccan team
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan gave medals to the referees and the members of the Nigerian team, as well as to players of the Moroccan one, before awarding the trophy of the 5th African Nations Championship (CHAN Morocco-2018) to Badr Banoun, captain of the national team.
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan posed afterwards for a souvenir photo with members of the national team of local players.
