HH Princess Lalla Zineb Chairs Ordinary GA Meeting of Moroccan Child Protection League

HH Princess Lalla Zineb, chairwoman of the Moroccan Child Protection League, chaired on Friday in Rabat, a meeting of the League ordinary general assembly aimed at presenting the 2017 activity and financial reports and examining the auditor's report.

On this occasion, HH Princess Lalla Zineb praised the efforts made by all the League’s members in the areas of protection, care and support of children deprived of their families and social cases, particularly those in situations of vulnerability and disability, the League said in a statement.

To this end, HH Princess Lalla Zineb emphasized the need to redouble efforts and mobilize all the means to carry out the projects of extension of the reception structures and to improve the quality of care for residents at socio-educational centers, the statement added.

Her Highness the Princess also called on all the stakeholders to develop income-generating projects, with a view to ensuring financial autonomy and covering the operating expenses of the league's structures.

Afterwards, the League’s members unanimously approved the 2017 activity and financial reports, related resolutions and the League's 2018-2019 action plan.

At the end of this meeting, it was recommended to mobilize all stakeholders and partners to address the challenges posed by the management of reception centers, the supervision of human resources and the monitoring of activities carried out on the field.

HH Princess Lalla Zineb also underlined the need to set up studies, assessment and follow-up mechanisms on the management of the League's financial and human resources at the central and regional levels.

During the year 2017, efforts made by all the members contributed to the improvement of the quality of care for children deprived of their families and social cases at the various reception centers, the statement said, adding that the League has launched the construction and renovation of new reception centers in Marrakech, Fez, Beni Mellal, Agadir and Smara.
